PARIS, March 15. Reporting upon the Geneva proieedings to Cabinet M. Briand disdosed that Dr Stresemann proposed ro demand the evacuation of the Shineland at the next meeting of the Council of the League of Nations. He declared 111 this connection that France would uphold her rights and viewpoint as regards security under reparations. A long" discussion followed con— | ;erning the reply to Mr Coolidge's ] 'atest Note, hut a decision was postponed till the next Cabinet meet'ng. It is believed that Cabinet was inclined to endorse the oi'iginal jdea of sending an "observei\" .Opinion is bordex'ing tl^at the subject of disarmaxxxent should be treated as a whole. It is pointed unt thar the League of Nation's prograixxxne provides for this, whereas Mr Coolidge's proposal does not; while a mere "observer" at the Washington conferenCe would be at an obvious disadvantage in defending France's naval viewpoint.
