An item of especial interest to Oamaru Theatregoers is that they are to have a visit from the talented hand of entertainers after an absence of nearly three years. Since leaving. New Zealand the company have had long seasons in every capital city of Australia, including a record season of 14 weeks at the J. C. Williamson Th'eatre, Ad-elaide. Members of the old company are as follows: — Humphrey Bishop, Walter Kingsley, George "Scratcher" Ross, Hilda Reaux and Fr(ank Egan, while the new comers are Charles Albert, Dorothy Ryder, Fred Webher, Elaine Maye, Mark Leslie, Dan Flood', Doris Pretty, Thelma Trott, Allan Kitsonk Billy Barry, Bessie White, Tom Hardy, Ralph Hedley, Evadne Royle, and Marie Landon, and the Famous Ragtime Quartette, Commenting on tlie opening performanee in Brisbane the "Courier," of 5/4/26, said: "The verdict of lastnight's huge audience upon the excellence of the Humphrey Bishoxs 1 Company has insured the success of their whole season — in fact, Mr Bishop had the^greatest difficulty in proceeding with his programme by the enthusiastic insistence of the audience in asking for more. The secret of this success was not only the cleverness of every turn (eacli member of the company has talent) but to the "Ginger" which everyone instilledl into tlieir work." Box plans open at the Bristol iiext Monday, 21st March. The season is for two nights, commencing on Thursday 24th March, with an entire change of programme on the second niglit.
