Politicallj he is oiib of the Old Radicals who supported M Pashitcli. and in recent years has beev; several times a membei of .che Cabinet. .He did not. howevei, belong fco M- Pashitehe last Government of September, 1925. On the resignation of that veteraii statesman in consequence of difterences with 3M. Raditch and the Croats, who lete the Caoinet. M. Uzonovitch. oii~April 8, 1926, fojrqed a Government, in whicli _ ,M. Stefan Raditch was oue af the Ministers. Altliough M. "(Jzoiiovitch _ is universaily respe'cted and M. Pashitcir. once described him as a man with "clean hands," M. Raditch created difhcnlties for him. The result was that-, as M. Raditch would :nor resigr. voluntariiy, the Prime Minister, on ' Ajjril 15, decided to. expel him irom the Cabinet. In consequence of this step, the Government had to be reconstructed. MM. Stefar and Pau'l Raditch being omitted. Some of the (Jroat Ministers, including M Nikitch and M. Superina, however remained in the Cabinet against the wish of M. Raditch, a step which led to £t splii ir. the party This difference was composed at the end oi fclie month and che Croat leadev agreed to che coalition with tlie Radicals being eontmued In May, tlie Cabinet had further difficulties.
