— OopyrigM.)
Received Tpesdav 5.5 p.m. LONDON, March 15. Great interest centras in the auctioning at Christie's on Wednesday of a portion of the- Russian State jewels, which experts think will possibly realise a quarter of a million sterling. Yesterday was view day and a stream of sightseers visited the auction rooms. When the doors had closed an inconspicuous limousine drove up and Queen Mary alighted and spent half an hour privately examining the pathetic treasures. The room presented a fairy palace resplendent with a nuptial crown of brilliant gems, pearl tiaras •necklaces andl the rarest gems.
