y TOKYO, March 11. ' Searching torpedo boats haveabandoned aU hope of saving the training ship Kirishima, 900 tons, whicb sailed from the Kagoshima Marine School with sei/enty-two (including forty students) aboard. The vessel wirelessed S.O.S. on the night of 9th March, saying she was sinking. The Empress of Canada, coming to Yokohama, changed her course and fruitlessly searched for the Kirishima. It is believed she sank with all hands during the heavy storm.
