LONDON, March 9. Sj$ Joynson-Hicks, Secretary of Sfajrfe for Honxe Affairs, moved the seCond x^eading of the Bill to bring Fxe title of the Sovereign into coxxsonance with the present constituflonal position. The Impexfiat Conference had unanimously agreed that with the King's coixcurrence the present style of "George Fifth by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom cf Great Bxdtain and Irtland and of the British Dominions Beyond the Seas, ICing Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India," should be altered as follows: "George the Fifth, by the Grace of. God, of G~eat Britain, Ireland, and of the Britislx Doxuinions Beyond Ihe Seas, Iviixg, Defender of the j Faith, Emperor of India." The Hoxxxe Secretary said it was now a misnomer to talk aboxxt the United Kingdom of Britain and Ireland and it had been deeided to alter the title of Parliament, and nxake it "Parliament of United Kingdom of Great j Bxdtain and Northern Ireland," so as to bring it into* accoxxiance with' i the facts. i The second reading was carxued. j
