DUNEDIN, Last Night. J The position of the 36 married ; and single men with dependents I who have been thrown idle at the Kaitangata mine has been relieved by the Government. Some of the men wif be placed on road work at Te Anau and Manapouri, and the remainder on similar work at Chaslands. There is no sign of the mine re-openingj or of the men receiving back pay, and it is also said to be doubtful if the safety men will receive any wages this week.
