An agent for a new churn cilled at a farmhouse, and learning that thoro was a lot of cream on hand, was anxious to churn it. " But wo have already got a churn," was ihe reply. Tho man, however, insistjd that his was better, as he could get 21b more butter from tho cream than they could with their churn, "All right," was the offer, "if that's so, we'll buy it." So he left iho churn, promising to come and prove it next morning. Tho cream was then put into tho old churn, the butter produced taken out, and tho buttermilk poured into the new one, whose offner duly arrived npxt day and stmed to work. Much churning with no result led to a discovery. " Why, confound it ! There's no buttor in this cream at all !" "Ex-ictly so, wu'vo got all we could out of ie with our churn, and have been waiting to see you get that other 21b with yours." There was no sale effected that d»y, unless tho '♦ sell " of the dgont is taken into account.
