KILLING OFF HUSBANDS.
A young woman named Mario Hevosy, described as young and good-looking, waa arrested at Pocska, in Hungary, charged with complicity in tho comniission of various culd-blooded murders for hire. Sho has already confessed that she recently herself murdered a peasant, whose wife, wanting to geb rid of him, paid her a hundred florins for putting him out of tho way. It ha 3 further been proved that Hevosy has been acting as a sort of agent between peasant women tired of their husbands and certain professional murderers. Sho was found out through tho depositions of a discharged convict, who had been in prison 15 years, <md whom sho had hired to do away, not only with two wealthy peasants, but also with his own siator-in-law. This man, out of remorse, disclosed tho crimes to the authorities, and an official investigation which followed demonstrated tho fact that tho intended murders wero ordered by tho wives of iho doomed peasants. The killing of husbands, mostly by moans of poison, moro especially arsenic, has long been a crimo of frequent occurrence amongst tho Hungarian peasantry. Not a year passes but one or moro trials take phco of persons accused of such murdera in oao pact of tho country or tho other.
