WAITARA. July 2.

After a fortnight's almost incessant raining, .tlio weatlier at last allows siyna of improving. A special train went from hero to Now Plymouth and luglowood and back on S.itnrrtay. to convoy the Natives attending the meeting on a pleasure trip. The Southern Natives had all their drays packed early this morning, and loft en route for Parihaka. The Wai- J katos remain a foff ■ days longer. Sit Georgo Grey left Waitara yestorday. The Hoi}, Mr Shoohan and Major Brown go overland to-day, to meet Tito Kowaru at Parihnka. Rewi despatched a special mesjsengef to ihfi 'King afc Perihatriki yesteri (day, statins; his very great satisfaction at

the cordial wolcome ho had received, and tho mutual agreement he hud made, which ho hoped would lead to the union of tho two races for over.
