The survoy of thp road between Mann's nnd the Livingtone road has boon completed, find pegs put in intuiting tho boundaries of ro.vd lino through blocks 1, 7 and 8, Mnorowhcnua. Tlio Burvoy plans aro being prepared, and tho drawings for tho formation of the roid aro propped, and will bo forwarded with this ; ostimatod coat, as per drawings, about LI 000. This road will open up a largo agricultural district, nnd gives a direct communication from tHo Macrowhcmin to tho Waiareka Valley and Kakanui. Otokaiko Riding.— Raoda in fair oidcr. Ifc was agreed that n footpath bo fonnod from tbo junction of tho Woston Roiul to tho town boundary, ns suggested by tbo Engineer. With reference to tho road nt Elderslio, it wns resolved that tho En«ineor report on tho ) robabio coat of this vnad, nnd arrange with Mr Roid as to the proportion to bo paid by him. Tenders woro ordered to bo invited for tho repair of tho bridges on Pig Island Hill, Wninreka. Mr Johnston moved " That tondora bo called for tho formation of tho road from Livingston to tho Wniaroka," nnd after some discussion the jaotion was carried. Mr Mtircott moved " That nn aero bo surveyed on the northern portion of Mm enatern division of Klock XXXVII, Hamndon, as a reserve for a pound, nnd that tbrt survey bo Bent to Hio Waste Lands Board for approval " — Carried. Mr Nowl.mds wrote, offoring tho land at Malienn for road purposes for L5O. Mr Williams wrote, offering to give tho nocossary land for extension of Inland Stroain Road, at the rate of LlO per ncfo. Both offers woro nccoptod. It was rosjnlvod, on tho motion of Mr Dunonn, " That tenders bo invited for motalliiiif oortuin portions of vo.ul in tho Pnpakaio district."
