It had been found impossible to conduct religious education in tho public schools so as to moot the views of tho various religious bodies, and thoreforo it was most ossential that in every Christian country religious education should be available for its youth. Flo advocated tho formation of associations such as tho Auckland Young Men's Christian Association, and considered they wero tho best means of preventing tho sproad of drunkenness.
