Walter Tbickek. —Mr Read, the Warden of the Gaol, has received instructions from Auckland to the effect that his Excellency Sir George Grey has been pleased to commute the sentence of death passed upon' Walter Tricker, for the murder of Robert Stillingfleet Raynor, at Rangitilcei, to penal servitude during the term of his natural life.—Wellington Independent.
