As far as I can hear, the vessel sprung a leak, and the crew, finding that the water gained on them very rapidly, got everything they could into the boat about midnight, and then layby the vessel for some time—when, finding they could do no good, they left her. She afterwards diove ashore in Tako Bn y. The captain and crew go to Auckland in the Wonga Wonga, which vessel leaves this afternoon. The Aphrasia was making her passage under snil from Auckland to Newcastle, N.S.W. The Wonga Wonga seems to have done better this time, having bi ought some cargo and fifteen pa«sengers to this port, and she takes to Auckland thirty head of cattle and about a dozen passengers.
