The Races will be held under the rules and regulations of the Otago Jockey Clnb. Entries for Ladies' Purse and Town Plate to close on 3rd day of November next j post entries will, however, bo received on payment of double stakes, the extra money to go to the race fund. All entries to be made to the Stewards or Secretary, and none valid unless accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. The winners to pay 5 per cent, of their winnings towards expenses. All horses to be handicapped by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint. Not less than three horses, bona fide the property of different owners, to start for each race, or no money will be given. The decision of the Stewards in all cases to be final. No Jockey will be allowed to ride for the Town Plate or Ladies' Purse unless in proper costume. By order of the Committee, R. M.
