The Taranaki Campaign is, if at all possible, to b«j a bloodless one. One vessel has arrived with a cargo cf| commissariat stores, and the Alexandra transpo-t shipf has come m with 50 horses for the Land Tftinspoit| Corps, drays, and other warlike stores, under the chargtj of Major Turner of the 65th. D.C.G. Stricklaad wasfi passenger by the same vessel, having come to takf| charge of tbe commissariat department here. Lieut. , ! General Sir D. A. Cameron is expected daily. It ifl understood that he will command in the advance froffij this end ; and that to Colonel Warre will be entrusted! the conduct of the operations from Taranaki eoutb-f wards. The troops at present here (about 700 of tb*| 57th Regiment) are to be reinforced by the 50th Regij ment under Colonel "WYiddy, and it is supposed also bra the 43id. A road is to be made, but the troops are notg to fight unless they are attacked.— Taranaki Herald. 1
