He gained seven fir«t-class prizes before ho w"as imported to New Zealand, the last of which was at the Smealon Agricultural Show, where he beat the imported hordes "Young Cl}de," "Black Champion," grey horse "Farmer's Glory," Mr Hepburn's imported "Nugget," also, Colonial-bred horses " Inkerman," " Garibaldi," " Model," " Black Douglas," " Young Douglas," " Warwick," and " Bay Champion " He also won the first prize at the Show of the Northern Agricultural Association at Oamaru last year, beating several good horses.
