Ll for the best Ham (cured by tho exhibitor). Ll for tho best Flitch of Bacon, do , do. Class X.—FARM PRODUCE. L 2 for the best 3 bushels of Wheat. L 2 for tho beßt 3 bushels of Barley. L 2 for the best 3 bushels of Oats. L 2 for the best 1 cwt. of Potatoes. Ll for the best truss of Oaten Hay. Ll for the best truss of Grass Hay. Class L.~AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS, (Manufactured in New Zealand). L 3 for the best Plough. L 2 for the best set of Harrows. L 3 for the best Horse Cart for farm purposes. Class M.—MISCELLANEOUS. Ll for the best 41bs. of home-made Bread. 10s for the second best 41bs of do. SHEARERS' PRIZE. L 3 for the best 5 shorn Sheep. L 2 for the second best 5 do. (Time allowed for shearing to be fixed by the Judges on the ground.) EXTRA STOCK. L2O to be left to the discretion of tho Judges. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Members and Subscribers to the Association, and members of any other Agricultural Society, to exhibit feee. Any person can exhibit Stock on paying a fee of Two Pounds ; and Farm Produce, Implements, &c, on paying a fee of Ten Shillings; and Dairy Produce, Poultry, &c., on paying a fee of Tyvo Shillings and Sixpence each exhibit. The name, residence, and district of the Exhibitor and Breeder, the breed of the animal he intends to exhibit, the pedigree of tho Stock as far as knoyvn ; and of Sheep the time of shearing must be giy r en to the Secretary, with entry One Month previous to the Show, or he will not be alloyved to compete
All stock exhibited shall be bona fide the property of the exhibitor or his principal. No competitor will be alloyvedto exhibit moro than three lots of each description. Stock which cannot bo shown in a competing class may bo exhibited ns Extra Stock. In no case shall a premium bo adjudged, unless the Judges shall deem tho lot to possess sufficient merit, more especially if only one lot is presented for a premium. All stock for competition to be taken into the Society's yards by eight o'clock on tho morning of the Exhibition, except horses, yvhich must be in the yard by 10 o'clock. Successful competitors for stock are at liberty to elect between money and medals. Letters with entries for stock should be received by the undersigned at Oamaru, not later than the 13th October; and for Poultry, Dairy and Farm Produce, &c., not later than tho 3rd November.
