To the Editor of the Ovmakv Timfs. T-iiE In your last impression you pubish two letters, the one higi.cd " *>n Tmmrter," and the other " an Old Resident." On re-iding these I was at once led to bel.pve that we had at last secured the great .lesidei atum so much wanted in our district, t. [7. , regular steam communication with Jhinedin. But how for the owners of the 'earner in question have carried out their pecious promise, I have already had suffi- - ient experience. Being 1 in Punedin last Saturday, and anxious as I was to return home, I made all my arrangements to leave vith the Win. Miskin, adveitised to sail hat day (Saturday). Judge of my surprise <nd indignation on going- on bo.ird to find he had been withdrawn from the berth ,md was to be despatched for Inveivargill n Monday, and I was consequently obliged to wait for the City of Dnnedin. Besides being humbugged, I was consideribly incoQvienced and hurried, in completing my purchases in time. I shall leave yon and your readers to judge whether this ■e^sel has made a propitions beginning in naking a trade. If the owners, for the sake if a few pounds, which there is no question was the only object, deceive and humbug the public in this way, l am sure they will receive neither support nor encouragement. I am Sir, yours truly, A Victim, Qamaru, March Bth, 1804.
