Roosevelt’s Admiration of N.Z. Legislation.
Mr. Donne, the New Zealand Commissioner at the St. Louis Exhibition, sails for the colony on the 22nd. When at Washington he visited President Roosevelt, who expressed great admiration of New Zealand’s labour legislation, and Old Age Pensions. He thought that older countries could learn much from New Zealand, and he hoped to visit the colony at the close of his presidential term.
