General Cable News.

LONDON, Monday. The Last of Paul Kruger.

As the late Mr. Kruger’s body was being conveyed by train to Pretoria, it was received at each station by a crowd of Boers, who laid wreaths on the coffin and sang psalms. Members of the late Boer artillery and Boer police, all in uniform, acted as a bodyguard at Pretoria railway station, and escorted the hearse through the streets of the city. The procession from the station to the public hall was headed by ex-Generals Botha, Smuts, Delarey, and De Wet. The remains are lying in state in the public hall.
