Court Pride of Awanui, A.O.F.
The monthly meeting of the above court was held on Saturday, 19th instant, in the Awanui schoolroom. There was a very large gathering of the brethren, to hear the report of the officers appointed to meet the Kaitaia Medical Club. lam glad to say satisfactory terms have been come to. The court still retains Dr. Scatchard as surgeon. New members are still coming in now that medical matters are settled, and by the end of the year the court will have over one hundred members on the roll. A movement is on foot to open a court at Peria. A meeting is to he held on Saturday, December 3rd, in Mr. Hazard’s hall, when officers from the above court will he present.
