BRISBANE, Tuesday. Crawford’s partj' at the alluvial rush at Dee River have found two nuggets, weighing 71 and 64 ounces respectively. MELBOURNE, Tuesday. A nugget, weighing 150 ozs., has been found at Tarnagulla (Vic.). The session of the State Parliament has come to an end. The prorogation will take place on Wednesday. SYDNEY, Tuesday.
A writ has been issued on behalf of Mr. Estell, M.P., against Mr. Crick, Chairman of Committees, in connection with recent disorderly proceedings in the Assembly.
The gunboats Pylades and Cadmus have returned to Sydney from a fruitless quest of Russian cruisers said to have ap* peared near Thursday Island.
Bush-fires have done much damage to crops and fences in-the .Singleton district, and many of the settlers spent two days and nights guarding their homes. More than 37,000 bales of wool were sold at this week’s sale. To date 400,000 bales have been earned over the railways. 2,830,000 bags of wheat have been received at Darling Harbour, and more than 2,000.000 shipped away.
