r ~At the Guildhall Police Court, on September 9th, Johannia Strack and IS others, all Germans, claimed compensation from the Austin Kriar Steam Shipping Company, under the Employer and Workman’s Act, for breach of contract. It appeared that defendants were employed on defendants s.s. Cheltenham, VUmh wot seised by the Russian cruiser Oromoboi while carrying contraband, taken to Yladieostock and condemned by the Pri*e Court. While at Vladivostok, afterwards on the journey to England, they suffered great hardship. The alderman awarded to each complainant £lO damages, with 10 guineas costs.
