London market quotations are :—North Island sheep, 4d to lambs 51 d; beef, ox fores 3§d, hinds 4jd; River Plate hinds 2£d. Auckland markets:—Mixed yearlings £2 15/- to £3 7/-, 18-month steers £3 12/- to £4, 2 and ijirye&v-olas, £4 14/- to £5 quiet, - to £3 17/-, yearling heifers £2 15/-, fresh cows and heifers £3 17/15 and £4 5 -, store cows £2 10/-to £2 15/-, best heifers at profit £5 15/- to £6 12 6, good cows at profit £6 10/- to £7 15/-; in produce lines prices have not changed, but a good demand exists for all leading lines; ’be beginning of the month has brought increased business, and the outlook for October is distinctly good. Maize is lira at late rates, the quantity coming forward not being sufficient to reduce prices to any extent. Flour has a slightly up* ward tendency, but has uot moved for the week. Bran and sharps are in good demand at late prices.
