WHEREAS Edward William Stafford, W Ebquii-e, haa RESIGNED tho office of SUPERINTENDENT for tho Province of Nelson, aid a Writ under the hand of Colonel Thomas Gore Ueowne, Companion of the Most Honorable Order >f the Bath, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, '«?., &.c, has been directed to me, John Poynter, ]squire, Resident Magistrate and Principal Returning tflicer for tho Province of Nelson, requiring aud ommanding me to cause to bo elected by and from mongst tho voters duly qualified for that purpose, fbely and indifferently, aud in manner and form by ltv prescribed, ono person to serve as SUPERIN12NDENT of the said Province : No,w, therefore, I, the said John Poynter, do lireby, in pursuance of tho said Writ, give notice tat 1 appoint Thursday, the 29th instant, at the Curt House, Nelson, at noon, for the Nomination ti tako place ; and, in the event of a Poll being demnded, I hereby furcher appoint Monday, the 17 th Lcember, for the Polling to take place. They have afforded me relief on several occaons, when scarcely able to sing from the ctfects of atarrh. I think they would be very useful to orgymen, barristers, and public orators.
