NELSON ELECTION.
The nomination of Candidates to represent the town of Nelson in the General Assembly took place in the Court house on Thursday last. E. W. Stafford, Esq., was proposed by Mr. D. Moore, and seconded by Mr. J. Elliott. A. Domett, Esq., was proposed by Mr. C. Elliott, and seconded by Mr. Batchelor.
J. Mackay, Esq. f "was proposed by Dr. Richardson, and seconded by Mr. Sclanders.
The show of hands was in favour of Mr. Stafford and Mr. Mackay, when a poll was demanded on the part of Mr. Domett.
The election will take place on Monday, the 12th instant.
