JONES begs to inform the inhabitants qf Nelson and the surrounding districts "that he has commenced the manufacture and supply of every article connected with his trade, and hopes, by unremitting attention to business, combined with moderate charges, to merit a share of public support. Also, an additional shaft, with large iron spur wheel and pinion to increase the Bpeed, with two plummer blocks, two 5 in. iron gudgeons for a waterwheel, with plummer blocks, and 6 in. leather bands 60 feet long, with lacings. Also, 6 dozen mill saws, five dozen of which are sharped and ready for use; 3 gross sharping files, and a setting horse. The whole of the heihfngs of the Mill are of gun metal. Pbovhtce of Nelson to wit. WHEREAS the General Assembly of New Zealand has been dissolved, and Writs under the hand of his Excellency Thomas Goee Bbowne, Esquire, Companion of the most honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over the Islands of New Zealand, bearing date the fifteenth day of September instant, have been directed to mie, John Poynteb, Esquire, Returning Officer for the Province of Nelson, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by and from amongst the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently, and in manner and form by law prescribed, Six Members, to serve in the House of Representatives for the colony of New Zealand, for the several districts, as follows, viz. : — Town of Nelson . . Two Members Waimea Districts . . Two Members Wairau District . . One Member Motueka and Massacre Bay District . . . One Member. Now therefore I, the said John Poynteb, do hereby, in pursuance of the said writs, give notice that I appoint the several days following, at Twelve o'clock at noon, for the NOMINATION of Members for the said districts, that is to say — For the Town of Nelson— at the Court House, Nelson, on Thubsday, the First day of November next For the Waimea Districts — at Richmond, on Monday, the Fifth day of November next. For the Wairau District — at Mr. Godfrey's Hotel, Wairau, on Thubsday, the First day of November next. For the Motueka and Massacre Bay Districts — at the School House, Motueka, on Wednesday, the Twenty^ourth day of October next. In the event of a Poll being demanded in any or either of the above districts, I hereby further appoint the following times and places for the POLLING to take place, as follows, viz : — ' For the Town of Nelson — at the Court House, Nelson," on Monday, the Twelfth day of November next. For the Waimea Districts — at the School House, Richmond, on Monday, the Nineteenth day of November next. For the Wairau District— at Mr. Godfrey's Hotel, Wairau, on Monday, the Nineteenth dijy of November next. For the Motueka and Massacre Bay Districts — at the School House, Motueka, on Thuesday, the Eighth day of November next.
