AUCKLAND.
A stray Auckland paper of a. few days Liter date than those brought back by the steamer on her last trip, inform us that the Governor has given a favourable consideration to the wishes of the Council and the Superintendent of the Province, and that the Council is accordingly dissolved. A severe contest for the Superintendency is expected between Dr. Campbell and Mr. Whitaker : the late Superintendent, Mr. Brown, docs not again offer,, himself.
