ANNIVERSARY FETE.— A PUBLIC MEETING will be held in the LITERARY INSTITUTION on TUESDAY NEXT, at Two o'clock, to take the necessary steps for the celebration of the SECOND ANNIVERSARY of the FORMATION of this SETTLEMENT. Nelson, January 6. A SUPPLEMENT to the Nelson Examiner is published THIS DAY, which conttins a full HISTORY of the WAIRAU MASSACRE; including a coloured ground plan of the scene of conflict, notices of the principal sufferers and actors, and a mass of important information on matters connected with that unhappy event. As the original plan of this Supplement has been considerably extended, the price is necessarily increased. Subscribers to the Examiner will receive a copy with their paper for Is. ad. Additional copies, 2s. each, cash. To persons taking a dozen copies, the price will be Is. Sd. each.
