WARTIME IN NOUMEA
Noumea, Oct. 7. In spite of a resolution by the Noumea Municipal Council against the holding of public balls during wartime, the Administration has decided to permit such entertainment, providing a written demand is received by the SecretaryGeneral a fortnight prior to the date; also providing alcohol is not sold, and on condition that dancing does not con tinue after 1 a.m.
