COFFEE FOR NEW ZEALAND
Noumea, Oct. 7. The Secretary-General of New Caledonia, M. Bourgeau, announced to the Administrative Council that New Zealand had bought 150 tons of New Caledonian coffee at a higher price than that obtained in the Australian market, and an offer had been received for a ■further 150 tons. The colony has 300 tons of last year’s crop unsold, and it, was stated by the President (M. Beiges) I that the price was improving in Aus- j traha.
