TARGETS ON COASTAL ROAD ATTACKED (Rec. 9.45 a.m.) Rugby, Oct. 19. Cairo headquarters states: “On land there was some patrol and artillery ac-
tivity yesterday. “Air activity over the battle area was on a small scale, but our long-range lighters successfully attacked targets on the coastal road. On the night of 17th18th October torpedo-carrying aircraft attacked an enemy merchant ship which was listing to port and beached near the coast of Tripolitania following a previous attack on the night of 14th-15th October.” —8.0.
