BOILED SHIRT SOUP

Stockholm, Sept. 24. The story of a man who actually ate his shirt is being told in Warsaw. Returning home to dinner the man fuund a pot boiling, and assumed that the contents were soup. The soup seemed gluey, but he thought it was as good as one could get in Warsaw these days. When his wife returned she told him that the supposed soup was the remains of his spare shirt, which had been made of substitute material. This was so poor that it turned to pulp when it was boiled. Now the man has no extra shirt and no coupons to get another.
