TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECASI

FURTHER OUTLOOK UNSETTLED Wellington, This Day. Moderate northerly winds. Weather dull with further rain but some improvement to-morrow. Temperatures mild. Further outlook rather unsettled and cooler. After a beautiful day on Saturday, when the sun shone for 10 hours 47 minutes, the weather yesterday morning was dull and overcast and a steady drizzling rain set in about mid-day, continuing throughout yesterday and this morning. There were some very heavy showers at times and by 9.30 a.m. today 1.4 inches of rain had fallen. The day was calm and a heavy blanket of fog obscured the hills, but by this afternoon a slight northerly breeze had lifted the mists a little and the weather had improved slightly.
