EQUIPMENT WANTED FOR HOME GUARD

In order to make the training of the Home Guard more efficient the Nelson branch of the Awake New Zealand Campaign is appealing for certain equipment. Such things as blankets, tent flys, hot water bags, carpenters’ tools of certain kinds, teapots, bread and butchers’ knives, boilers, old washhouse coppers, and old carbide lamps are asked for in an advertisement today. Anyone who is willing to help is asked to ring or deliver the goods to Central Motors, phone 1016.
