SHIPPING AND RAILWAY ATTACKED (Rec. 9.55 a.m.) Rugby, Oct. 15. An Air Ministry communique states: “Yesterday afternoon Mustangs of the Army Co-operation Command on offensive patrol attacked barges, a goods train and railway engines in Holland. Three small vessels on the coast were hit and damaged. Not one of our aircraft is missing.”—B.O.W. Slight damage was caused by cannon lire from an enemy lighter at a place on the south-west coast of England today. No bombs were dropped and there were no casualties.—B.O.W. CIVILIAN AIR RAID CASUALTIES Civilian casualties from enemy air raiding in the United Kingdom for the year ending 3rd September are as follows: 3224 killed or missing, believed killed, and 4061 injured and detained in hospital.—B.O.W.
