LUCKY CAUSES A DISTURBANCE
Last Thursday night Lucky created rather a disturbance, although he probtiblv wasn t at all aware of the fact. At half-past two Mum was awakened by a steady pit-pat. pit-pat of paws coming down the passage. In the middle of the night, when the house is so still, you can imagine what a noise he made. When Dad got up to investigate, he found Lucky squatting in the kitchen, looking as innocent as he possibly could. He must have got in by an open window. He didn’t object to being put out the back door, but sometimes he does. lie turns round and tries to sneak back again, fondly hoping that we won’t be able to see what he is doing. When Mum catches him again, and puts him on the back-door mat. he usually looks very offended and starts to spit (by way of saying good-night, 1 suppose!). Fay Baynes, Tahunanui.
