TIMBER WORKER KILLED
Matamata, Oct. 15. A Maori timber worker. Mr Nick Pitika, aged 30. single, of Okauia who had been employed in loading a truck of pinus insignis logs at Tirau. was killed when returning to Matamata. He was sitting on one of the logs in the truck and fell off as the vehicle turned a corner.—P.A.
