HOW PUBLIC CAN HELP

EQUIPMENT FOR HOME GUARD Obtaining of equipment for the Home Guard is one of the functions of the Nelson branch of the Awake New Zealand campaign. Such things as blankets, tent flys, hot water bags, carpenters’ tools of certain kinds, teapots, bread and butchers’ knives, boilers, old washhouse coppers, and old carbide lamps are asked for in an advertisement to-day. It may seem a somewhat strange collection, but all of these articles can be made use of in making the Home Guard more efficient. Anyone who is willing to help is asked to ring or deliver the goods to. Central Motors, phone 1016.
