FOOD FOR SOVIET UNION
SENT BY BRITAIN AND U.S. (Rec. 11.8 a.m.) Rugby, Oct. 13 Substantial quantities of food have been sent to the Soviet Union by the United Nations, said Mr Butler in the House of Commons, and under an agreement recently signed in Washington between Britain and the United States and the Soviet further substantial quantities were to be made available to the Soviet. It would not be of public interest to disclose details of the quantities and types of food and products already sent, or what if was proposed to send. 8.0. W.
