REPORTED ATTEMPT AT ASSASSINATION SHOTS FIRED BY INDIAN ASSAILANT KILLED BY BODYGUARD London, Sept. 1
Berlin radio stated that Lord Linlithgow, Viceroy of India, was not injured when a young Indian fired shots at him. A member of the Viceroy’s bodyguard shot and killed the Indian.—P.A.
