SLAVS ARRESTED

SUSPECTED OF COLLABORATION WITH GUERRILLAS (Rec. 10.20 a.m.) London, Sept. 1. General Meditch has ordered the arrest of the entire Slovene committee of the Red Cross at Belgrade because the committee, including the chairman, M. Smodej, is suspected of aiding and passing on military information to General Mikhailovitch, guerrilla leader. A correspondent on the Italian frontier who sent this advice also reported that 800 secondary school students, including 56 girls, were arrested at Ljubljana and sent to a concentration camp in Italy. They were accused of collaboration with guerrillas.—P.A.
