JAPANESE REINFORCEMENTS
(Rec. 12.40 a.m.) New York, Sept. 1. Chinese forces storming across Chekiang intercepted and routed Japanese reinforcements rushed forward in a frantic effort to halt General Chiang Kai-shek’s forces approaching within bombing range of Japanese cities.—P.A.
