GIFT OF CLOTHING
DR. BARNARDO’S HOMES A gift of clothing from NeLson recently arrived safely at Dr. Barnardo’s HomeSj London. The General Superintendent (P. J. Kirkpatrick) has acknowledged the gift in the following letter: — "Dear Friends, —We have again to thank you for an exceedingly lovely gift of very useful clothing which you have been kind enough to send for the use of our little ones. We are greatly indebted to you all for this continued support of our work and would ask you all to accept our grateful thanks because every article will be put to good use. In these difficult days of rationing it is very encouraging to receive a gift such as yours.’.’ The clothes were made by the nurses at the Nelson Hospital, by helpers at Richmond (und,er Mrs Eric Wilkes), and other helpers in the Nelson district and sent by the Nelson Lady Galway Guild.
