INTERCESSION
Whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receivoth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hang - ed about his neck, and that he v.ere drowned in the depth of the sea (Matthew xviii. 5-6). ETERNAL GOD. wc give Thee thanks for Christ’s revelation of the infinite value of children: His tender compa.> - sion towards them; His indignation against those who do them wrong. We pray for British children m tnis . nd other Dominions, separated Horn the *- parents and from all that umJc their homes Wc pray also for • many who remain in the midst of the terror of war. beseeching Thee that ther.* minds and spirits may withstand the barbarism that makes them ib, : micro it victims Grant that then* manhood and their womanhood may be lived r a happier world in which inhumanity -hall have ceased to be.
