State, commencing Tuesday: Will » \flc in the mystery-thriller “They Came by Night,” and Brenda Joyce in the gay comedy “Marry the Boss's Daughter.” Things begin happening fast when Fyit'e, as a canny Scot, gets mixed up with an amazing crime ring, steals from the crooks , "hen they make a haul and joins the gang when they plan their biggest job! Fyftc gives his best performance to date in this \ amazing story. It would be unfair to spoil the fun by divulging the various developments of the plot, but it can be said that it boasts just about the most surprising climax on record. Phyllis Calvert and Anthony Hulme supply the romantic interest in this lively film, while John Glyn Jones also scores in an unforgettable comedy "drunk" scene. Harry Lachman directed from the screen play which Sidney Gilliat and Michael Pert wee adapted from the stage play by Bane Lyndon. The film was produced by Eduard Black for 20th Century Productions.
