TWO POUNDS A FORTNIGHT

Sydney, This Day. From to-day every person in Australia will be rationed to 21bs of sugar a fortnight. The object of rationing is stated to be to enable supplies to be sent to the Allies abroad, and reserves to be built up here. Mr Curtin, Prime Minister, states the rationing will not last longer than is necessary. The ration is regarded as liberal.—P.A.
