MURDERERS REPRIEVED

MEMBERS OF THE I.R.A. London, Aug. 31. Five of six members of the 1.R.A., aged between 18 and 22. who were sentenced to death for the murder of a policeman in Belfast last Easter Monday have been reprieved, Four will be imprisoned for life and one sentenced to fifteen years. The sixth was not reprieved.

Huge mass meetings have been held through Eire demanding reprieve and several British members of Parliament also urged reprieve. —P.A.
