SHIPMENTS OF FLOUR AND THE RAILWAY
(To the Editor) Sir,—l thank you for being able to publish my letter in “The Mail.” I also thank the source where you made the enquiries for not denying the fact that the flour is not allowed to be carried by rail. So it is the controller of the Flour Section of the Wheat Committee! A Government department This is very interesting indeed. Is it not time that th e public were put wise to 5. me of the folly that is going on? Was not Mr Semple here only this week, advising the public what would have to be done to save tyres and benzine? Zoning to save tyres, while a section of the wheat committee demand that we deliberately use them! The right to general use of the railway is barred to that section. Let the Minister use th e bit? stick on Government departments first. The oublic may then suffer out zoning or anything else that may be helpful to save tyres. Meanwhile I sign myself. ANTI-BLUFF.
